About FFWS

What is FFWS?

Fund for Wisconsin Scholars (FFWS) provides need-based grants to randomly selected, recent graduates of Wisconsin public high schools who are starting their first year of attendance at a UW four-year institution to earn an undergraduate baccalaureate degree.

FFWS within the Office of Experiential Learning at UW Madison offers access to a community of over 900 scholars and a robust peer mentorship program to support you during your undergraduate career!

Received an email saying you’ve been selected to receive the FFWS grant? Here’s what to do next!

  1. Accept the scholarship. Click the link in the email originally sent to you.
  2. Fill out our Get to Know You form to help us pair you with a peer mentor.
  3. Attend our Kickoff event on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026 from 5:30-7:30pm at the H.F. DeLuca Forum in the Discovery Building. We’ll have food, games, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the grant & connect with your peers! RSVP HERE!
